STRATHAM, N.H., Aug. 23, 2017 – Global outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland today announced it will open its newest specialty retail store in the heart of Portland’s vibrant downtown on September 1. Located at 1015 NW Couch Street, the 1,900-square foot store will feature the fall ‘17 collection of footwear, a selection of men’s and women’s apparel, plus accessories that match the beauty and versatility of the city’s spirit. The all-new men’s and women’s Flyroam™ collection powered by the AeroCore™ energy system, as well as several new styles featuring SensorFlex™ comfort technology will be offered alongside iconic Timberland® products.

The Portland store will also showcase Timberland Boot Company® footwear—Timberland’s most distinctive collection that incorporates the finest leathers and materials, and serves as the brand’s benchmark of modern craftsmanship and style. Additionally, the store will incorporate a “social hub” where visitors can learn how to care for products post-purchase, receive lace customization and footwear embossing, and engage with product through interactive presentations.
Following in the footsteps of Timberland’s retail locations around the world, the NW Couch Street store reflects the company’s longstanding commitment to sustainability by using recycled materials and other environmentally responsible building practices. Build-out features include reclaimed wood and repurposed industrial machinery used for table bases and displays; FSC-certified woods; reduced-wattage LED lighting; Energy Star-eligible equipment and appliances; low volatile organic compound (VOC) paints; and water-conserving plumbing fixtures.
Portland is one of many store openings planned across the country this fall for Timberland. The brand recently opened a specialty retail store in Stanford, CA and introduced the Timberland Tree Lab, a first-of-its-kind experiential concept store featuring carefully curated product collections and brand stories in a gallery-style setting, in King of Prussia, PA. Timberland also plans to open a series of “flex retail” stores across the country, starting with a Mall of America location debuting on September 1st.
